in 30 min (japanese time) i will have my birthday. I had a lot of weird birthday celebrations, that will be unique anyway, cause I will be here, apart from my family and friends, surrounded by loud chinese, koreans and indian students. yokoso to Japan... when I come to my tiny room about same size as my kitchen back at home i realize in am in Japan, a country so many people want to get to and the country which is so traditional and closed for others. There are not so many europeans so far, therefore they are very quiet, not typical for americans :)
while I am online i start receiving congratulations for my birthday, the one that really touched my heart is from my parents: " Zavtra tvoi den rojdeniya, jal chto ty tak daleko, no nichego ne podelaesh..." another birthday away from my parents, I try to remember last birthday I had at home, i guess i was 18?
Our university is HUGE, about 3000 students reside at APU. It is always loud and busy. Personnel almost don't speak English, so it was challenging for me to sign up for gym today, need to start learning survival Japanese.
to be continued...
